How to spot a bootleg figure before you buy

By NekoCha Team,

Magnifying glass over a figure box

Bootleg figures are everywhere, and some are convincing. Here's what we check before a figure gets our Licensed badge.

1. The price is too good

A licensed prize figure rarely sells for less than ৳3,000 in Bangladesh after import costs.

2. The box is missing details

Licensed boxes carry the manufacturer logo, a copyright line and a hologram or authenticity sticker.

3. The paint is sloppy

Look at the eyes and hairline. Bootlegs often have blurry eye prints and paint bleeding into the skin.

Fan-made items aren't bad, they're just different. That's why we label every product clearly.
